Why You Don't Need Guitar Tabs

There are a lot of reasons you don't need tabs to learn music, none more important than the fact that, without tabs, you'd need to rely completely on ear training to play back what it is you're hearing. What's more, however, is that there are no tabs for improvising. If you ever want to become a more complete musician, tabs should be thrown to the wayside. Then again, if you have fun and enjoy tabs, don't let me stop you. This is just an opinion, after all... ;)
