Alternate tunings can bring you to brand new places in music you've never visited. This is a lesson in experimenting, but more importantly not being scared to break out of the conventional "rules" you may be predisposed to follow. Just think, if you come up with a new tuning that you can use to create your own sound, you can actually claim that as your own and pioneer new musical ground. Or you can just have a blast on the guitar, which is what I chose to do here. :)
