The flurry of tapping that kicks off this hard rock headbanger was one of the first licks I ever learned (butchered is more like it) when I was getting serious about guitar, and for that I am forever grateful to Kirk Hammett for writing something easy enough for a young guitar player to grasp, yet awesome enough to make me feel like a rockstar when I played it. This solo is deceptively challenging due to the phrasing of the various licks paired with the high tempo.
